Carring arts subjects

    hey, im a first year student doing arts and have 2 repeats, due to my own stupidity having studied enough so good chance i could fail. just wondering what the story is regarding carrying subjects into second year. one of the repeating subjects is a major and the other one a minor. know all subjects carry equal of 5 credits though...if anyone could be of any help would be greatly appreciated

    You can carry up to 10 credits (i.e. 2 modules). This is dependent on them being non-core modules. Email your course leader for further info as they will be able to assist you better as well as pull strings.

    thanks for advise but im bit confused as to what is considered a core module. in each semester study 3 subjects of major and one each of minor subjects plus a compulsory module for all students no matter what subjects being studied. would my major subjects be considered core modules or would it only be the compulsory subject in each semester

    I don't want to speculate. It varies from course to course. Just email your course leader and they'll be able to tell you.

    Nothing else to say bar +1 to above. Gotta email your course lecturer to find out whats considered a core module (ie one you cant carry).
