Acer Aspire 3690 password problem

My laptop won't let me log on.Before i just put in my password but now when I turn it on it wants to "launch startup repair" and then goes to "other user".When I click on that it want's "user name" and "password" which I have no idea what they are.Anyone out ther that can help?

Use the offline nt password editor to reset the administrator password and then you will be able to get in.

Sounds like your install might be hosed and you will have to reinstall anyway!
