right, i only got 150 points all the courses i applied for are around 200 points. is there any hope ill get offered anything?

Very little, look up a PLC/FETAC course, or repeat (I got 155 last year :P )

I got 470 points in the course, the points you get in the course are independent of what you got in the LC

Yep, just look at where you want to go, find out the FETAC requirments and then find a course that has that, where did you apply to for college this year?

I dont see it there either, best contact them, you could also look up other colleges which you may want to apply too.

That higher cert one you applied for you might get into

Well those kinda courses went down in points so you might get in, also remember there are vacant places you can apply to after the first round where all you need are the minimum entry requirements so keep an eye on those.
