    Hi

Wondering can anyone answer my q and save me queuing in the office.

I currently work 12 hrs per week (3 days) and I'm on JSA signing the x & o's slip.
I am looking to change jobs but the new position would be 18 hrs (stil 3 days maybe 4 inc Sunday)

Will I still qualify for JSA if i switch jobs? Or is it just for people whose hours have been reduced?

    Thanking you

You wil still qualify if you are working 3 days per week, your rate may
change as your earnings per day will probably be higher as you will be doing 18 hours instead of 12.

ive a similar situation, except im moving to a job as a home tutor. the situation is the parent receives a grant for home tuition then hires somebody to act as the tutor. but technically i think im counted as self employed as it is up to me to sort out my taxes etc. even though ill be paid by the parents on a weekly basis.

anybody no what the story with jsa and this might be? ill be on 12 hours a week 3 days a week.

You will be assessed as self employed then. To difficult to advise you as not enough information on your circumstances.
