Is it just me or does anyone else think that the main character in the current Lloyds tsb commercial strike an uncanny resemblance to our very own Louis Walsh?

When i say main character i mean the character who gets off the bike at the end of the commercial

On a related note I really, REALLY hate those Halifax UK ads...you know the ones with the f*cktards in the studio playing some pop sh*te and mouthing along/bopping heads.

I won't post a yt link; I wouldn't wish to impose this crap on anyone that's had the good fortune to avoid seeing them...

The same Halifax that fecked off out of Ireland with its tail between its legs, and left a load of redundancies behind - ****.

Forget house repossessions and bailing out Anglo, those ads are the real reason why banks are held in such low esteem in Ireland!! I've never hit a woman, and never would, but I'd be sorely tempted to if that ****wit started that "ice ice baby" at me as I was sitting beside her!

    Hi,
To answer your question, yes, I have always thought the Bank Manager on the pushbike was the image of Louis Walsh, and Googled to see if anyone else thought so. I didn't expect to get an answer. Maybe the pet crocodile will eat him.
I wish they'd repeat the one where the train stops for the cows on the line.

I agree- they're a sad reminder of how good ads used to be - like this one (at 0:53)

Yes, I realise one is Llyods and the other is Halifax, but adverts have gone to sh1te lately.

Godamnit, now I want a curry.

lol at the heat electric ad.

Ads have definitely changed...some of them try to be too clever, or with it, some too zany, many miss the point of what they're trying to sell you and end up pissing people off, most patronise viewers and treat people as being a bit thick...there's still the odd gem, a few laughs and some of the CGI stuff makes them eye catching and pleasant to watch, but much of the innocence and direct-ness is gone. That's progress for you...
Oddly enough for all the progress there's still no nipples in plain view...defitiely seen nipple in some shampoo ad years back...
