Aircraft just observed in flight with nosegear down

In the last 20 minutes, I noticed what I think was a B737 at around ~2000ft with nosegear still down. Other undercarriage could have been down but did not see it as it may have been up. Aircraft was black / grey / silver in appearance but could not distinguish the airline.

The aircraft was heading east out across Irish Sea just south of me here in Rush and there was a brief plume observed behind it - possibly a fuel dump.

Aircraft appear to make a turn and head back for return to Dublin but I lost visual with it. My airband scanner can't resolve any chatter as I am too far from Dublin airport.

Has anyone else witnessed this? Hopefull it was nothing serious.

Just listening to the liveatc archive, it was the Onur Air A321 arriving from Bodrum doing a go around, as you can hear him being vectored in for final approach around 1840Zulu, and then about 25mins later you can he them being cleared for the VOR approach on 28 again. And if you look on the DAA flight information, OHY745 was delayed 26 minutes.

Unfortunately you can't hear any transmissions on the feed to suggest why they did a go around.

Looks like they came in to high, were above 3000ft fairly close to the airport while previous arrivals were below 2000 in the same position

    So that's what it was...

I saw it from Portmarnock, it looked very high on the approach to 28 - I watched it turning out towards the sea.

Saw it again a little later as I drove past the airport and all seemed normal, a/c was on finals at this stage.

Thanks everyone for that - looks like it was nothing more than a go-around so. Is it normal for "gear down" in such situations?

Does anyone know why ILS is inactive on 28?

Possible to get all the flights real time over/in Irish Airspace?

    Thanks in advance.

You can get it on http://casper.frontier.nl/eidw/ but you have to pay(5euro a month I think) otherwise there is a 15 min delay
