    Results official Kate misses a medal by less than 2 secs, she competed very well in contention for a medal all the way she should be very proud had a magicial year, pity there was no olympic medal at the end

    Mark English finnished 8th in the 1,000m final this morning in 2.24.** just outside his pb.
    Was at the back of the pack after 200m, moved up to around 6th at 400m then worked extremely hard to put himself in a postion to get a medal pushing for the lead with 200m to go but this effort took to much out of him and he faded to 8th in the home straight.
    The 2 guys that Mark beat in the European trails finnished 3rd & 7th so maybe he will feel a medal was very possible. He has had an amazing year and can hold his head high.:D
