Just got one, thought I could get a ready-to-go micro-SIM card but I don't think they're available - just ones with tariffs.

So what micro-SIM should I get, bearing in mind that my main priority is to spend as little money as possible. Should I wait for a ready-to-go? Should I get an O2 tariff?

Also, is there anthing elses I should know about or do? (like Jailbreak or whatever, or any must have apps. to get me started). I haven't a clue about these new-fangled phones :pac:

I'm only about 70% sure, so maybe you can. I'm still trying to suss it all out.

Yeah, tried that a fcuked it up :pac: - cut it arseways so that it didn't work in the iPhone, but it still works in my old ordinary phone

Never really gave much thought to this, assumed it was a simple 5 min job.

Surely VF would be jumping at the chance to sign up a new customer?

I'm not even gonna attempt the cutting-operation. Knowing my luck with these things, I estimate a 99% chance of failure :(

micro sims are available for pay as you go. Do you have a number already? If so you can do a sim swap or cut down the card you have.

no I'm with o2 atm. Wanna change over to VF, retaining the 086 number. Hope there's not gonna be too much hassle involved.

OK, just been to the O2 shop - you can get pre-paid (ready-to-go) micro-SIMs. Grand. Don't know about Vodafone - I plan to drop in sometime soon to find out.

Anyone got any info. on Apps and Jailbreak and stuff?

I was in Vodafone today and switched over to a micro sim and I'm on ready to go. Absolutely no problem getting one.

Same here, 2 minute job on Friday - no issues/questions getting a microSIM on PAYG off Vodafone. O2 isn't giving any hassle to people looking for one either it seems.

Meteor says they won't have them for existing number swaps until the 25th according to other posters here and 3 are the most problematic apparently, not really giving them out (which if true, is simply stupid)...
