    Hi

    got root canal done and dentist put sliver filling over it but didn't asking him about a crown should all root canals have crown on them?

    any help

    Putting a filling in is a waste of time. You can get it removed and put a proper crown on it. Even a temporary crown would have been better.

    I got a root canal done last year..i got a temp crown put on straight away and den i got the real thing a week or 2 later. I think you defintely need one yeah, as protection for ur tooth! Cud be wrong tho!

    rubbish statement. you have to build up a core for the crown to seat to anyway. a silver filling is what the majority of endodontists use as core build ups before sending them back to general dentists to prepare for the crown.

    Yes get it crowned asap its as important as the root canal long term.
