I want to buy some mudguards for my mountain bike, a Trek 800 Sport, so as to make it more suitable for commuting. Would these be the right size? (I'm unsure how to go about measuring the wheels.)

Also, where could I find a chainguard to fit to this bike?

Your bike had 26 inch wheels, as for a chainguard try your local bike shop as I'm sure compatibility may be an issue.

My bike has 26" wheels and these do the job just fine.
