Dragon Wars Kilkenny September 26th

O'Laughlin Gaels Venue, Hebron Rd Kilkenny first bout 4pm.

Not only is Kilkenny the home to the best hurlers, but also to Irelands top Professional Kickboxers fighting out of the Dragons Lair in the shape of Vinny "The Assassian" Di Ruscio and J.P. "The Punisher" Soames. They will be back in action on September 26th along with Kayne Nelson against a Welsh Team. The undercard to this International event will see the impresive Clayton Delaney fight for the I.K.F. Irish Middleweight Title and anybody who has seen Clayton fight knows to expect explosive action and will also be supported by a full undercard.

Isn't Kilkenny Top Pro having a show at O'Loughlin Gaels around the same time?

Yes John a couple of weeks later, but you wont be able to see the big hitters like Vinny and J.P at that show

yes john Top Pro are holding a MMA/Cage fighting event the weekend before on the 18th of sept in O'Loughlin's with kilkenny's only professional A and B class fighters as well as many of there up and coming fighters, so i'v heard its all on there facebook site

Didn't kilkenny top pro club coach Vinny Di Ruscio and J.P Soames and made them the fighters and champions there were, come to think of it they coached all of the dragons liars coaches and champions so im pretty sure there kickboxing show in the Ormond hotel on the 17th of oct will be class as long as chris dowling is not refing, i was at a show where he disqualified 2 top pro fighters for noting and was boo'd out of the ring by the crowed who new he had done it out of spite !!! don't think he ref's to many shows now days

im sure vinny and j.p's fighters will be hand picked as they haven't fought kickboxing in years and only fight amature C class in mma and don't have a great record and they fight out of a different mma club "fit to fight" as i hear the dragons liar gym hasn't a great set up for proper training, why else would they fight out of a different gym, and there being coached by guys who have never coached before the Dragon's liar gym was open,

i'll be getting my moneys worth on the 18th sept at the cage show !!!

I've known Paul and co. for the 5 years I have been here and I have a friend at Oyama Karate that trains at Dragon's lair so I do want to get in the middle of this feud you have with every KK gym and promoter.
Btw.The last time you were on here weren't you anti-KTP and Pro-Dragon's lair? Why role reversal all of a sudden?

Hmmm seems there are always begrudgers!
O.k. let me reply to the above comments.

1)I replied to John Mc about Kickboxing event I have no idea about MMA event as I am not part of TOP PRO.

2)Yes TOP PRO did coach J.P. and Vinny and some other Dragons Lair coaches , and before TOP PRO all the same were coached by Black Dragon under Peter Foley and Bernard Doyle the later who is one of the founders of Dragons Lair.Yes fighters and coaches often start the martial arts journey in one club and progress through many others. This happens in all careers people learn and develop their skills and in time move on to different companys etc to reach the goals they desire.

3) Me as a referee, yes I did disqualify 2 fighters at a TOP PRO event, the 1st was disqualified for excessive contact in what was a light contact fight as the fighters were juniors and IKF has strict rules on this subject.
The 2nd was due to repeated abusive language directed to me as a ref from a cornerman. IKF rules also have this as one option the other being a hefty fine. Any other sport ,hurling, soccer, rugby etc do similar by sending a player or manager off for abuse to an official. People who take on the job as officals for sporting events need to be respected by all for the thankless job they undertake to allow the sporting event to take place. Finally on this point , I have officiated at many events since this where I have be requested and will continue to do so for the benefit of the sport.

4) Vinny and J.P. are fighting international oppenents from Wales, not hand picked you can read the AX boards as we posted on this for people to step up and fight them and after negotiations resulted in a Welsh Team accepting. Anybody representing their country in any sport should be given the respect they deserve.If you doubt Vinny or J.P.'s abbilites come along and witness their excellence at the show and remember they are both Professional European Champions in kickboxing.

5) Vinny and J.P fight out of "FIT TO Fight" in M.M.A this is true as this is the name for Vinnys own personal training team he hand picks and works with out of Dragons Lair Martial Arts and Fitness Center which he finds equipped and suitable for all his needs.

Hope this answers all BOB KK 2's comments, and finally I have asked the moderators for the IP address of BOB KK 2 to put an end to this slanderous material being posted by an illiterate and vengeful person, although in my opinion anybody who looks back at previous "Boards.ie" postings from Kilkenny users may see amazing similarities between the mysterious BOB KK 2's spelling and punctuation and another user who has financial interests in not seeing Dragons Lair (not Liar as BOB KK2 called it) become a greater sucess than it already is.

Good idea. It would be good to know who he is and what his agenda is. One minute he's slandering Kilkenny Top Pro and then the next he's slandering Dragon's Lair.

It actually doesn't match any users regular account (I checked). It would be a site bannable offence for both accounts if a user was to register a second account just to stir things.
