Cupcake wedding cakes can turn out to be just as expensive as an actual wedding cake. What are your numbers? Cupcakes are normally around €2.50 so depending on your numbers you could be talking a few hundred.

Marks and Spencers have selling wedding cupcakes, 48 for £35.
They say the cupcakes have to be eaten within 5 days.
    Maybe a possibility???

Have you considered making them yourself? They really are not that big a deal once you get a good piping bag and a bit of practice! :)

    Hi,
I'm getting married and having cupcakes and a small fruit cake for the top tier. I'm paying about 50 cent for mini cupcakes and 1.50 for larger cupcakes!

Do you mind me asking where you are getting your cupcakes from?

Yes I'm getting them from The Sweet Cupcake Company, the website is www.sweetcupcakes.ie . I haven't had my wedding yet but I have tasted samples and they were delicious! If you go onto their flickr website they show loads of samples. When is your wedding? If it's after mine I can let you know how I got on?

Did you haggle with them on prices? Also the only prices im seeing is 1.80 for cupcakes, no mention of mini cupcake prices

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 LittleWhiteDog

No I didn't haggle but I have them booked since the start of this year and paid a deposit so that may be why mine are coming in slightly cheaper, email them and ask about prices and see what info you get. I would definitely make an arrangement to meet them and "try before you buy"- they gave me cupcakes to take home and everybody was fighting over them! My wedding is in 2 months so I can let you know how I got on afterwards.
