    Hi,

recently got a contract job,the recruitment lady said i would be paying my own prsi and tax while working and also asked me how much money i was looking for which i told her...in hindsight should i have aimed higher as i presume paying my own prsi, tax etc will decrease my wage...anyone else work this way? just a bit new to me :)

    Thanks

Well i assume that for that for this role you will be treated as a self employed contractor, so yes the PRSI and income tax is your responsability to set aside.

And yes, tax will reduce the amount you will have to spend:D
