Visual DJ - Obtaining Legit Videos?

    Hi Folks,

Been playing with VirtualDJ's video systems for a while now but sadly I don't have alot of video to run through it. If you ran it on a night out, does it come under copyright? Is public usage of video a different kettle of fish to audio? Also, can you buy videos by the DVD full like CD Promos?

    Thanks in Advance,

    ironclaw.

If you'd be interested in this footage, we'd be happy to give you a good quality version of it.

In return, if you like the tune, would you be able to help us to promote Skuzzi Port who are playing at the Picnic this weekend, Friday 9pm Arcadia stage?

Just looking to get the word out to all the people that have been at Skuzzi gigs over the past 9 years - this is the biggest one yet!

If you want to send me a PM with your email address, I'll send you a link to download the mp4. It's a 25MB file - not sure if that's good enough quality for VJ ing.. is it?

Mixmash as stated above and www.promoonly.co.uk will also sell what you need. An expensive thing to get into I am afraid if you want to do it properly (i.e. buy all the back catalogue stuff as well as the recent stuff), but it can be very impressive at a gig. I VJ at mobile gigs with a projector and 80" screen, but luckily most of the venues I play already have projectors or large LCD's that I can plug into. You'll probably see more and more video Dj's starting out in future as the videos become cheaper and easier to obtain so now would be a good time to start out and establish yourself. I have had amazing feedback on it since I started doing it, and you can charge a premium for the service :D

EDIT: I would add that most of the videos are available on itunes but the quality is nowhere near as good as mixmash or promoonly
