    Hi,

Anybody got any idea (based on previous releases of iPhones or other Apple devices) when things might calm down and I can just walk into an O2 store with a "reasonable" chance of getting an iPhone 4?

Vodafone and 3 seem to have plenty and every shop seems to have a good supply of iPads.

    Regards

A while, I'd say. I've heard from people that o2 are being dropped as the primary sellers of the iPhone and that they're moving for 3. That said, I'm surprised at how many Vodafone have.

3 seem to have so many because of all the returns :)
As for vodafone, the lower data limit isnt helping them, nor is the 250 euro deposit...
Id say ask in local store, they will probably reserve one for you for next shipment?

O2 stores got shipment last Saturday morning, so I'd keep checking the O2 Twitter page. They still aren't offering the iPhone to new customers.

Don't think anybody is now the "primary" seller.

3 banked on a huge uptake and got the numbers to fulfil these predictions. People are having awful problems with 3G and the way there is no edge coverage.

Vodafone have priced themselves totally out of the market unless all your contacts, or most of them, are on Vodafone.

Personally I think O2 are a good mix of decent price, great customer services and excellent network.

Cue anecdotal stories about O2 being $hite.

Crap price (worst value out of the three operators at the moment), great customer service, patchy 3G network :)
