Eh they're not been released because of widespread cheating....

Seriously though, what exams are you even on about?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 899 ✭✭✭djk1000

Usually very early, I check my email when I wake up and the results are there. If you haven't signed up to get your results by email, I think you have until tomorrow (Friday) to do it.

Good damnit, I thought there was something about emails on Friday

The deadline for signing up to email results is Friday, results available by email and online next Monday, posted results start going out next Wednesday.

I think Friday would have made more sense. I have to spend the weekend worrying about the results firstly and secondly, whether I'll still have a job if I fail them!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,558 ✭✭✭JTMan

Cheers, are the results out at 5 AM on Monday ???

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,943 ✭✭✭smcgiff

That's when they are released. May take a couple of minutes to get to you, but you should have them by 5.15

    Good luck

Passed one and, distressingly marginally, failed one.

    Not that I'm upset...the dirty ******* ************ **** ***** **** *******.

How did P6 sitters get on in the end? I would still like to take this exam but if the pass rate really is around 25% no way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,537 ✭✭✭✭Cookie_Monster

    P2 INT passed :)

    only one left to do

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 899 ✭✭✭djk1000

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,791 ✭✭✭Linoge

    Passed 2 and failed 1 by 2%. Bloody F8!!!

Aww man! I got 48 in F8 before too. Failed it twice in total! Got 62 this time which i am happy with. Didnt do any more study than before. Its luck of the draw with what comes up.

Passed P2, Failed P4! Why did i ever pick that subject??

Have one other to do in December! Thinking of P5 but was exempt from fundamental level paper so dunno if I should!! Any advice??
Dont really fancy the Audit or Tax papers so think P5 may be the lesser or three evils!!

Will prob do it myself so if anyone has any course materials for P5 lemme know!! and if anyone is interested in P2 course material send me a message also!!

    Cheers!

I was one of the P6 sitters as you call them, got 35 after putting in a good bit of work. I think i'll be better off doing another one instead in Dec as the paper was a joke

P5 is handy enough compared to the other P-levels I thought
what did you think of P4 overall?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 63 ✭✭ashes79

Hey , I failed p6 for the 2nd time :( (41% in Dec & 39% this time around) am changing to P5 for the Dec exams - can't go through this for a third time!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,274 ✭✭✭cocker5

ok.... so i am about to totally FREAK OUT!!

i just CANNOT pass F7 ... I've passed all the other subjects on the F level, plus P1 and P3 but just failed F7 AGAIN!!

So now i cant go anywhere in ACCA until i pass this bloody subject... cant do options (as all of F level has to be done first) and cant do P2 either!!

So im totally stuck!! GGGGGGGGGGGGRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

What the hell is wrong with me ??????????????

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 61 ✭✭PabloIndentes

Got 50% in P6 after failing it with 49% in December.
So am certainly a lucky boy :)
Examiner is still a f****n weapon tho!!!!

Just P2 to do now and have to decide where to do it now.

Hope everyone else was as lucky as me.

I find that I can do this subject ok as i spent most of my time studying this one! But when it comes to the exam just sometimes dont understand what he;s asking and panic a bit! Ive failed it twice now so thinking of droppin it!!!
I spent about a month revising this and only the few days in between both exams revising P2 and passed it so bit peeved off that i wasted so much time on p4 and still failed it!! Think there is a new examiner in dec tho so may try it again!!

Went down in P2. Any idea what the BPP lecturers are like for this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,835 ✭✭✭ari101

I got 2 for 2 but only scraped the F8 - anyone else shocked by their F8 results or was it just me - I felt more prepared for it the the other one (part time course, knew the material, did a decent mock, studied, was a bit of a wierd paper) but got this turn up for the books!

Might it be the new examiners different standards or did I read the whole thing wrong on the day? Too scared to do admin review as I could be remarked to a fail.

(Thank god my new job contract is signed and returned - I hope to god they don't follow up on these results!)

I'm shocked at my result.. when i was doing the exam I totted up at least 65%.. but I got 47%. GOing to review the answers today.. may consider recheck!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,537 ✭✭✭✭Cookie_Monster

I heard something this morning about F7 being remarked as it was so bad. Seemingly one of the q's is to be excluded or something. No confirmation, just what a work colleague told me she read this morning. Anyone shed any light?

I'm sorry you didn't get it, I was expecting the same thing; mid 60s, but I got that bittersweet 50. Considering how prepared I felt, I'm gutted even though I passed - my worst other result to date was in the mid 70s! - I just don't know where I went wrong - it makes me doubt my plans to do P7, hence the fact I'd love to do an admin review but it's just not worth the risk.

    Fail F6 :(

Fingers crossed I get it in Dec

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6 Lummix6

Got 65% in P2 and 55% in P5, thats me finished now thank god, no more exams ever again....woohoo

For any accountancy paper id go with Liam Doran independent colleges, I couldnt have passed P2 without him. Also for Audit papers go with Shaun Browne Bpp, easily the 2 best lecturers i had throughout my study.

Yea I was also disappointed with F8 felt more prepared for it and felt on the day it went reasonably well passed by 3%.....dont want to get it rechecked and risk failing but maybe as i am disappointed with that result..... how do ya go about getting a recheck by the way???
Happy with F5 tho so i'll continue on with the next few. any one any recommendations re lecturers for F7,F9 or F6??

Not sure how to go about it. I'd say the Acca Global website has all the info. As a matter of interest, why would you get it rechecked if you passed? Do you really care about the result?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,791 ✭✭✭Linoge

I dont know why people are going on so much about getting a recheck?? A pass is a pass lads. This isnt the LC, you dont get more points for doing better, its just a waste of study! Unless you were close to an award (which actually means something), why would you bother getting it rechecked when you have passed it??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 89 ✭✭lucylu19

    I failed F8 so that's why I'm considering a recheck as I was sure I definetly passed..
But I'm afraid If I do get it rechecked and only get 50% it will bring down my average score which determines the class of the Oxford Brookes Degree.. so maybe that's why people who passed would consider a re-check...
However I agree if you passed.. don't risk the re-check!!

    Two reasons:

    1. Disbelief
    2. Brand new job with expectations (thank god contracts are signed)

Can't review (let alone appeal) in case I get failed which would be worse obviously!

I failed F6 and I'm just wondering does your workplace mentor have access to your exam results?

I know I should tell her I failed but I want a couple of days to get over the fact before I have to discuss it all.

Failed P4, last exam and all.

    Full steam ahead for December

Nice one! It´s an awful subject

I might get this rechecked. I was sure I´d done enough for around 55 -60

Has anyone any experience of getting their exams rechecked and what the chances of getting the results changed are? I may sound like a bad loser here but I dread the thought of studying this subject for the next few months!!
