    HI,

Can someone advise be about colours for hallway make over. Typical 3 bed room house
Currtenly very pale yellow/cream (which I hate) with pine flooring, banisters and doors. stairs carpet is striped (which I love) red, brown, cream. Lots of photos and art form Holidays that I want to keep and hall mirror sun style with bronze frame and coloured beads. Pine hall table , with lamp red and brown cream (dont care if the stay or go)
Light: fairly bright light from hall door and window at top of the stairs. Sun in the back of the house during the day and front in the evening
hall leads into the kitchen which is toffee apple red and the sitting room pale yelow and black
Thought about olive green bought the tester and all then realised it is one of the colours in my main bedroom, it is pretty dark once on

YOu could paint it two colours, the wall that goes up alongside the stairs could be one colour possibly paler and the the other walls that surround your doors etc could be darker picking out a colour in your carpet. Try taupes and golds with a carpet of that palette??

THink of painting the doors, skirting and ballistrades a light cream like French White or Marble (varnish the handrail). A painted skirting will frame and make a feature of the floor.
