Real Zombies

If z-day ever does come around, what do you think the zombies will be like? There is so many conflicting versions in movies. tv shows and books.

I'm hoping there classic shambling zombies. I think these would be the easiest to get away, to kill and to outlast. But i think it more likely to be I am Legend style infected caused by a vaccination gone wrong or something else caused by mankind itself

whats your opinions?

i'd love an old school shambler zombie outbreak, id head straight out with various weapons and have some fun.

imo zombies would start off being as fast as any normal person and deteriorate to a shambler state after a while... unless they eat brains!

i think that they'll be so like us it'll be hard to tell. although i love the way they look in movies right now id say apart from a vacant stare it will be like looking at a member of your family at breakfast

I'm pretty sure you'll find we've goner through this in previous threads, theres so many theories ist crazy... but like I always say "prepare for the worst"

in all honesty if there is some kind of virus that will take over a human and make them want to kill (whether Z or fury etc...) the body will go into overdrive. they wont just start as normal people like said above but people who do not realise there limits, no pain barrier, no stress barrier, they will start as fully functional almost super humans.

fortunately for us pain barriers are put in place so we know our limits and dont do excessive damage to ourselves, in the case of the z's they will burn out their bodies incredibly quickly, tearing muscles and dislocating bones without a care, and thats when they'll turn into shamblers.

the first weeks of the infection will be the worst... and the most terrifying

i dunno smiley, im thinking it'll start slow, just little weird things about people. of course it depends on the virus thats spreading. so either violent and fast or creeping and slow. im not sure which one id prefer tbh

the sprinters scare the life out of me.so obviously you'd want to be physically fit to survive them, but the slow crazy changes in people would be so bloody weird.

i agree though, the first few weeks would be the toughest ever.thats where all your survival skills would come to your rescue if you had them, if not well, so long. your zombie lunch

I reckon they'd be shamblers until they caught a short range smell/sight/sound of you. Then they'd have a charge as fast a a running human. Albeit a mindless charge.

Slow and shambling, having no proper blood flow and muscle workings, there body would move in a slow state, which would make it better. A running zombie conflicts itself on a few levels, but so does zombies in general i guess. I would prefer the slow kind, its a beautiful sway of the mindless, flesh hungry masses that i think of when i think of zombies. Slow for the win!
