Went out for 2 hours yesterday to a field of half cut wheat,
I rooled four round bales into each other and sat in the middle and had some great sport with high pigeons.
Cant wait till friday and saturday to get cracking againdecoying.jpg

Good man. One of my favourite shootin is crows and pigeons but this year my main farmer has grown beens. The other barley fields i have are either shot by a good few lads or very quiet. Quiet summer so far bar rabbits:(

The beans mite be very productive if we have a hard winter,
I remember a field on some of my ground last year held thousands of them in the cold snap gone by, keep an eye on it.
I was going to shoot it but got to hung up on pheasants but if i get the chance again i wont let it slip,
It is the best shooting there is me thinks.

went out with a friend the other day with a friend of mine for a drive and passed a field of cut barley and the sky was full of pidgeon and crows , we just both looked at each other and turned the jeep ,picked up the decoys, guns, and shells and ended up with 33 pidgeon and about 50 crows .
