Phone no. 57457?

I just got a text message from the number 57457 saying my pincode is xxxx and that I can enter it on the website in order to confirm. It also says subscription output: stop to 57457 2euro/msg, max 6 msgs/week

Does anyone have a clue what this is about? I haven't entered a competition or anything.

Also is there anyway I can find out who sent the message, looks dodgy to me and I dont want to be paying out for a scam

I'd say its from a website advertisement, one of your mates mite have entered you as a joke or someone took a shot in the dark and entered a random number

Op ring REGTEL (1890 229668) and let them know the phone number, seems like you've been registered to a premium rate service. It happened to me when my phone went on WAP in my pocket. Took 40euro off me before I realized but I got refunded all the money once regtel got involved.

RegTel is gone. Its Comreg which deal with these now. Now sure if they took over that hotline number.

LOL I think I can actually explain that. I did a stupid IQ test thing on this website a few minutes ago. I knew it was an ad but did it anyway for the craic. At the end it asked me for my mobile number so I entered a random 087 number (I think it was) and it said it sent a pin.

If you check here: http://www.comreg.ie/numbering/sms_search.598.sms.html

you'll see that 57457 and the number mentioned on that page 57582 are both owned by NetSize UK Ltd. So it was most likely me

Could be that you were in fact hypnotised as a child and this code is what triggers you to become a cold blooded assassin and take out a head of state.

If I am right, you should receive another text with five days.

I'd buy some tinfoil if I were you, wearing a hat fashioned from this is as you sleep, is the only way I know of that reverses any brainwashing you may have received via hypnosis.
