But people will still pay. The price will only come down when people say no more and cancel.

this is due to sky increasing their prices nothing upc can do about it.

Actually the price will only come down when Sky say the price will come down. This increase is coming from Sky, not UPC.

The price increase is made by Sky, it is not UPC's fault.

Yes and when people cancel everywhere, not just UPC, the price will drop. When everyone continues to pay why not increase the price. I know I would.

It won't happen, the only way it will drop is if Sky say so..

And Sky will not drop it until they see a reduction in money they are making from subscriptions. That includes the money that UPC will pay them per subscriber.

Don't complain about the price increases so.

Not you specifically, but anyone who continues to pay while complaining.

You can always cancel Sky Sports for the Summer. Unless you are a cricket or Andy Murray fan:D

UPC will take pleasure in charging you a downgrading fee. Amazing really.

All that High Definition blather of SSN has to be paid for you know!

People should be allowed to downgrade with no charge if they don't agree to the price increase. I'm sure this isn't the case though.

Actually Im pretty sure you can cancel at no cost at the moment; they changed their terms and conditions so you can cancel your contract at no penalty up until the 1st September if you dont agree with them.

Is it not illegal to penalise somebody for cancelling their television service if out of contract?

If out of contract, yes. The penalty occurs when still in contract.

I might try this just to see what they say. Will definately ged rid of it if I can get my iphone sky mobile app hooked up to my tv.

I think it only applies to cancelling your entire contract, not just part of it, but I suppose its worth a try.
