I'm 21, male, and want to upgrade some of the wardrobe. I'm sorted for smart casual and formal, but need casualwear. I'm thinking tshirts/jeans are the way to go, but open to idea. Ideally they'd be grand for a casual night out too. I'm fairly slim, tshirts must be slim fit or they look like I'm swimming in them. Jeans can't have very slim legs, and not too wide/baggy either. Looking for some nice casual shoes too. Any suggestions on looks or places to shop?

topshop does some nice mens clothes, so does Burton, and there's a Diesel shop in town where you can get lets of smart/casual t-shirts and jeans ect -Next also do nice mens range .

Superdry. Ok, it getting everywhere, but that's cause it's nice. Also, it's a fairly slim fit so I think it might suit.

Disregard this advice anyway imo! Topman and Burton are both not great. Pretty ok for some basics, but stuff like their jeans are terrible quality, and the old identikit Topman look is not a good one at all.

Theres not much in Dublin tbh. H and M is ok ish, Zara is ok. Few places like Size and Genius do quality stuff. Urban Outfitters is good.

As for that Diesel shop AVOID! Its all lairy tees and **** jeans, plus its the Irish Diesel not the real one.

Oh and remember you cant go wrong with the old classics like Levis and white Converse!

Agree with everything u said except not a huge fan of H&M, do you know of any other shops of a similiar nature to Genius and Size as although there two of my faves in dublin, im very fed up of them.

    Shopping here is absolutley disgraceful

Try Pennys in the fair city of Dublin, they have huge and varied selection for men, good quality and some marvellous styles. You'll also be spoiled for choice in many of the fine boutiques in and around Dublin's Henry street.

Are you serious? Pennys clothes for men are a joke.

Check the OP again, he's looking for jeans and T shirts, and remember The_Joker, "The clothes don't make the man";)

Nah, He's best sticking with Pennys for T shirt and jeans, look he only wants them for a casual night out and in his neck of the woods that probably means a belly full of mixed drinks and on to the take away for a greasy kabab, may well get throw up or get into a fight so the clothes will be destroyed by the morning. Anything other than Pennys is a waste for him.

I see, pennys sound just right for him then.

from your post i take it your quite slim, and its difficult to get clothes to fit you. In that case your like me. I can save you a lot of hassle:

    Shirts/Tshirts.

Topman: Avoid their jeans and polos. But they do awesome plain black or plain white t shirts. everyone should have a couple of each. plus they do extra small sizes for the slimmer gent!

Some of their shirts are nice, but dont get carried away with some of their more eccentric sytles.

Superdry: T-shirts are awesome, but their small is a little big for me. Their polos are brilliant, good material, will defo last a while. Their jeans only come with a super long leg so big no no for me.

They have awesome checker/flannel ( im not quite sure which) shirts. best going for the money.

    Jeans
Levis do good jeans, good fit. cant go wrong.

Pepejeans are also good jeans, and cater for smaller gents. yea, they can be a little pricy ( 100+ quid for jeans) but ive recently learned that out of all items of clothing, its worth spending a few quid on jeans, if you find a pair that fits well. they will last.

    Runners/Shoes
Cant go wrong with a pair of converse, or a pair of adidas sambas!
Shoes, im not so sure on this one, i dont wear shoes so much. I have a few older pairs, but as they get little use, they are practically brand new. cant remember where i got them though, prob schuh.

Gap is worth a look also for all of the above. Gap does nice jumpers also.

The above ideas should help you get started.

Newlook. Some great t-shirts/shirts and hoodies and very affordable too. Would go there ahead of Next which is ridiculously overpriced.

p.s. I just happened to stumble into the TH shop on Grafton Street the other day and was astonished by the prices. I don't think there was anything I would buy in the shop for the prices they wanted. What is the target market for that particular shop does anyone know? Can only guess that it's folks with more money than sense who value a well known brand and convenice more than anything else..

    Get some vans.
Try river island they have fantastic jeans with bright colours.
Go to Zara as well for the jeans.
For tops new look or h&m.
