In comparison to the Mocks?

Just wondering how people's results compared too their mock results?

I for one went from B3 to A1s in geography and History, C2 to A2 in Business and B2 to A2 in Economics all higher level.

I went from an E to a C3 in Irish and a B3 to a B1 in maths at ordinary level.

In fact the only subject my grades didn't go up in was Honors English B3.

Needless to say am delighted to get 500 points up from around 400 in the mocks? Did anyone else have similar increases in their results?

though i had to make a last ditch attempt NOT to fail HL maths yet again

Went up 130 points from the mocks.
Mocks are a piece of crap anyway, marked terribly.

465 to 490, and that was after looking up the questions to nearly every Mock exam on boards. Delighted.

I went from 340 to 420. The only thing thats slightly nagging is I didn't get my A in history and my accounting dropped from B1 to C2.

Note to incoming 6th year students - do not attempt to find out what questions are coming up in your mocks - it leads you to do well and lulls you into a false sense of security for the real thing.

Having said that our mocks were quite easy and marked by our own teachers, so a significant advantage over the real thing.

I went from passing just one subject on the mocks (B in OL English) to getting five honors and two passes on the Leaving Cert. Big jump there, lol.

can't believe the amount of people in my school that got only a Pass in Links...teachers were certain we would get Merits but nope:mad:

I got 310 and Multimedia last year was 325 so I will certainly be appealing this.

I went from 0 to 140. A great personal improvement from failing all my exams to getting good to high passes in all my exams, except French, which killed it for me.

I'd say there's a lot of bias in the mocks, considering I've never passed an English exam since 3rd year, it was a shock to me when I went from 37% in the mocks to 70-74% in the real exam.

I only went up by 5 points From 565 to 570. I was too complacent for the mocks, and even more complacent in the real exams.

Went up from 425 to 430. A bit dissapointed really. Got the points for Journalism which were 405 but needed a B3 in English. Will definetly get it rechecked. Same for Geo and History. Would have expected the same as the pre. Delighted with Acc especially that I got about 10 marks out of 80 in the final section. Pity the predicted stuff didnt come up. Could have got a B1.

Quite similar to me I went up from 500 to 540
A2 in english
I worked/wasted time at applied maths and music trying to bring them up from c2s and i did both B2s but didn't count either --- did 9 honours really regretting that now ... and the not being serious in 5th yr :mad::mad::mad:

My results were

Maths went from a B2 in the mocks to an A1.
Irish went from a C3 in the mocks to a B3.
English went from a D2 in the mocks to a C1.
Technology went from a B3 in the mocks to a B1.
Construction Studies went from a D2 in the mocks to an A2.
Geography went from a D2 in the mocks to an A2.
Design and Comm. Graphics went from a E in the mocks to a C2.

So yes, in my case my results changed quite a bit!

Yes mine went up by 105 points and i didn't really do much extra study to be honest, I guess our mocks were marked really hard and also my practicals and orals brought me up in Irish, French, Art and Music.

Went up in most subjects and went down in one or two. In english I went from 30% to a D1 which I was delighted about, in maths went from a E to a D3, went down in chemistry, sort of went down in french as I got a C in mocks and a B yesterday but had dropped from hons to ord. Stayed the same in irish and went up in both biology and geography.

Went from 390 in the mocks to 540.. Somehow.. I was however ridiculously underprepared for the mocks because I had my dcg project deadline during it and stuff!

Went from failing four subjects to passing everything. Also, from 225 points to 315. It really pales in comparison to the numbers I'm seeing here.
Very bitter, but I suppose you reap what you sow.

My grades went up considerably in every subject, and I even managed to pass Ordinary Maths with a C3, compared with an E in the pres.

i know how you feel, my 7th subject was a B2 but so was another 2 also as u can c from above. Congrats on the 540 though...that is brill

I went up 100 points between the mocks and the LC so I'm delighted.Biggest difference was physics.Got 36 % in the mocks and an A2 in the real thing:D. Something similar in DCG as well.
