UPC Connecting up my estate - Concessions?

    Hi all,

for the last 2 yaers i've been trying to get UPC into my estate (not linked). I went through the hoops of their customer service and even came that close to having a site surveyor onsite tell me sorry we can't connect you.

    So I gave up.

long story short, they are in my area nowand have linked up a lot of my neighbouring estates. We are now 2 of the last remaining estates to get hooked up. To hook us up they need to dig up part of or land, drive ways, paths etc. I mentioned to them do we get a concession for allowing you to dig on our property to link the other estate to your network? I was told yes certainly but not all houses only a few.

So here's the questions... has anyone ever been in the same boat before wit UPC? if so what concessions can you get? I've heard of deals of life time free connections etc etc but i doubt they are real.

i would be careful about how hard you push them for something
they might decide to go around your house
