My wife has an iPhone 3gs still with firmware 3.0.1. It has never been jailbroken before. She wants to upgrade and also jailbreak, since 4.0.2 is released is apple still signing 4.0.1. Can I download 4.0.1 and use shift+restore and choose the 4.0.1?

As it was never jailbroken I don't have the blobs in Cydia.

    Thanks...

I doubt it, Apple don't allow downgrading firmware anymore when a newer one exists.

The OP is not downgrading. Why can't he get 4.0.1 firmware and instal it?
