If you can find the F/w, then yes.

I too have seen mails like this. It means it's very dodgy and that's how Apple Mail takes care of it. Could be in your spam mailbox in gMail. Anyway zap on sight.

I've been getting this also. I did some googling on it last night and it seems that many people are having the same issue since ios4 came out. If you go to mail settings and change 'organise by thread' off it seems to fix it and they disappear, though temporarily. When I get them they dont relate to anything in my spam or mailbox.

I could not delete it. Had no option to. However I turned my phone off and on, synced it to itunes and when I went back into my mail it had disappeared.

That f/w is the apple firmware isn't it and not a custom one?

I haven't had any of those mails in yonks: used to be down to some dodgy mails that would be spammed to me. If they had a PC virus, that's how they would end up in the iPhone's inbox.

Yes, I am referring to 4.01. Should be findable somewhere on the interwebs.
