It is strange that considering the first thing that God got upset about was when Adam and Eve put clothes on - why do some people who claim to be his followers have exactly the opposite view? Many nudists are Christians who adhere to the Bible’s teachings. [more]

Can you show me where in the bible God was upset with Adam and Eve for wearing clothes? God was upset with Adam and Eve because they picked the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge. Now, we take it to be an apple, but this is not mentioned in the bible specifically...and many also believe the forbidden fruit could have been sex. But I don't remember where God got angry at them for wearing clothes?

"Who Told You That You Were Naked?"

This quote is a reference to the lack of wisdom Adam felt he had. The creature, which we take to be a snake but wasn't specifically mentioned either, told Adam he was naked...he took that attitude because of low self confidence, and God was simply telling him he had everything he needed and was worried someone had exposed his faults and tempted him. It's got nothing to do with actually being naked

In answer to the OP's question: the reason Irish people have a problem with nudity is because of a hangover to Catholic teaching that sex is dirty; and the preconception (pardon the pun!) that nudity is somethign sexual.

It's equally strange that If you believe in creation as proposed in the bible, then Adam and Eve's children would actually have had to have sex with one another for the Earth to have become populated.

Not quite. What the Bible does tell us is that there were other people outside of Eden.

Admittedly, the cynic in me is assuming homogeneity continues with each additional unit (that is, each ogling of the fairer sex) consumed for this theory to be a reality.

PS: Layman's language: eat one Mars bar and it's great, eat a second one it's very good, eat a third one it's good, and so forth (for each additional unit consumed one's satisfaction declines)

If the teacher was telling you there was nobody else in the world except the mentioned Adam/Eve and their offspring then they certainly didn't have any indepth knowledge of Genesis.
