Question about weighted dips...

Quick question, I have been doing weighted dips for a few weeks now, and I just had a look on youtube. I have been doing them at home, in the garage, with a backpack on, weights in the backpack. However, everybody on youtube has a belt with a chain, and the weight between their legs. I'm trying to target the tricep with this excercise. So, am I doing this wrong? Does this make a difference? Big difference/small difference? Any advice would be appreciated!! :D

Using a dipping belt allows you to add more weight as the belt hangs from your hips and feels very comfortable. It doesn't change the movement. I got a nice york belt on ebay for 20 euro, shipping to ireland was 20 euro:eek:, luckyl my brother was living in the uk and he brought it back for me.

Ah ok, thanks for that :) I guess I'l splash on the belt at some stage so, I'l continue with the backpack in the mean time :pac:
