    Hi all

I have a 02 Audi Allroad with an air suspension problem.
Compressor and control unit have been replaced and i need to carry out basic settings to the control unit.
Anyone got experience in doing this?
Can it be done without specialist tools and diagnostics?
Im looking for a solution without having to go to Audi so need to know if settings can be done manually or at a non dealer in Dublin.

    Thanks in advance

You can buy a vagcom lead off ebay and get a license off ross tech for $100dollars and do it your self if you inclined. (it wont cost the world lot cheaper than main dealer anyhow)

Here is instructions on how to:

I have a 03 and haven't had compressor problems as yet after 145k miles. From what I've read, you just fit them and they should work. There shouldn't be any special settings that I'm aware of.

Did you buy a new or reconditioned compressor? I've heard that the reconditioned ones are hit and miss.

If it's sagging after the engine is turned off there could also be a problem with one of the air springs. It's generally the fronts that go first. I had one front replaced at 80k miles and the other at 100k. You can get non OEM air springs from the US that have got good reviews and work out less than OEM.

Replaced with new control unit and compressor on order. Both genuine parts from AUDI.
The issue is basic settings to the control unit which i need to get sorted.

Try here. It's a US site so no diesel info but the suspension is the same on all models. These guys are pretty knowledgeable on the AR mechanics and VAGCOM.
