I saw Penneys Mary St are selling grey suits for €50, as in:

    Trousers: €15
    Jacket: €35

Nice material. Thin body. Decent deal methinks. Especially in these depressing/recessionary times.

Also they're selling nice trousers for €7

and really nice Slim Fit shirts (perfect for my skinny a$$) for only €6 (lovely material)

Finally they have trousers on clearance special; the sizes are short and wide or tall and skinny (even skinnier than me, and I'm 2 dimensional) for only €5/7 (the €7 ones, if they fit you, are really comfy material)

I lol'd at the groutch's post, not because it was funny (old joke is old) but that the op thanked a post clearly degrading the bargain alert :)

Yup I tend to smile when people go out of their way to be mean :)

Go to Dundrum, they have the jackets & trousers on a rail for €10 each.
    So €20 for a suit!

Seriously?! Were they awkward sizes do you know?

I'm buying some work clothes and I'm literally broke at the moment, so ignoring the sardonic comments by a select few, I thought I'd share any bargains I came across. And that there is a bargain :D

No idea of sizes but there were a few of both on the rails.

there's a place in Bray (in the Castle Street Centre beside Superquinn) that has some ex-hire suits for €30 odd, and most of the others have 60-70% off

Another great place is M&S who do a machine washable suit for about €105 for a suit jacket and two trousers. you save a fortune on dry cleaning bills, washes perfect every time. I have mine for about year and half

in liffey valley they are generally in the far corner of the suits section near customer services.

that's cos a suit will just make you look like a jockey - they are concerned about your feelings !

Got two suit jackets in M and S Liffey Valley for €40 each and four pairs of trousers for €30 each, all machine washable. Great for work! Also, nice tailoring and available in black, charcoal or light grey.

I bought the €7 black trousers. The guy in the store said they wear them as part of their uniform & they are ok.

Dry Cleaning suits is expensive, so machine washable trousers are ok.
