Bond Market Outlook

    I have to give an outlook for the bond market for the next 6-12 months.
    What sort of infomation most I be include and where abouts can I get it?

    Your best bet is to go to the FED website and read the tutorials there.
    Then, do your own analysis on the supply of US debt over the past number of years.
    Then, look at the supply due to come on line in the next few years.
    Then, discuss the bond issuance in Europe.
    Then, analyse who is purchasing this (hint China) and what they have to say.

    Google Bill Gross, PIMCO & Mohammed el Arian (spelling?).
    Check out Interfluidity, FTAlphaville.
    Should get you started.

    For the US, good themes to research are
    1. Deflation versus inflation
    2. Double dip recession
    3. Flight to safety

    For Ireland, themes include
    1. Deficits
    2. Cost of banking system bailout
    3. Spreads & aversion to risk
