Snowboard outlets around Boston anyone?

Hi, heading off to Boston in December and planning on fitting in a week or so boarding up around Vermont while there. Previously only boarded in Europe and up until now rented my board and boots each year.

However I've heard it's really cheap (in relation to here anyway) to buy boards, boots etc in the states so wondering if anyone can verify this? Plus if anyone has any recommendations on good stores in and around the Boston area it would be really helpful.

    Cheers!

    Hey,
THere is a huge ski shop outlet on Comm Ave (Commenwealth Avenue) and out in wrentham outlet you have a spyder, Quicksilver/Burton shop and Nike ACG store.

TK MAXX Sell cheap boards and boots since last year, I am sure some snowboard type person will be along shortly with a more detiailed answer

Hey Fattes, cheers for the reply. You wouldn't know the name of the one on Commonwealth Ave would you? Biggest I found is Ski Market but looks like that had to file for bankruptcy :(

Is that the one you were talking about?

Theres an outlet town near enough to Boston (think its about an hours drive) called Kittery which has a few outlet shops and one really big out door sports shop (cant remember the name of it- its similar to LL Bean but it sells Burton and all other brands there).

About two years ago I got a brand new Burton Custom there, plus boots, bag, camel packs and other stuff and it was all really cheap. Paid half of what I would have paid here.

Hope that helps- sorry i cant remember the name of the store.
