I think it had a reasonable syndication run after it's cancellation.

At the time, i thought it was pretty amusing, but it's a long long time since i've watched it.

My guess is that it probably hasn't aged well.

I was watching it again on Youtube recently and it still held up well imo. Of course it looks a little dated but it was still funny. I was a massive fan when it originally aired. I got myself a big talking ALF in New York a couple of years ago,yes i'm still a big kid!:D

Yes, I used to quite like it. I got an ALF jigsaw one christmas.
Wasn't he constantly trying to eat the family cat?

    Didn't he eat cats?
That shocked me as a child

I still remember it years later

There was a great parody of Alf on Channel 4 called "There's A Puppet Living In My House", which was part of a series of satires of US sitcoms.

Another one was "I'm Bland But My Friends Are Crazy".

Do you remember the commotion caused by Hale & Pace when they microwaved a cat?!

ALF's body is covered with a ginger/rust-colored fur (he once described his color as burnt sienna). He has a rippled snout, facial moles, eight stomachs, his heart is apparently located in his head, and he likes to burp, eat cats, can whistle without opening his mouth and had a best friend on his home planet named Malhar Naik.
ALF finds that, despite his occasional attempts to catch Lucky the family cat with the intention of making the cat a meal,

    I knew it!
After all these years I remember as a kid being shocked at a TV show which had a character trying to kill and eat cats. Terrible for a kid to see this

However, these kids nowadays, they'd wouldn't be shocked at anything.

    How innocent we were :o

There's a channel on Foxtel (satellite) here in Oz that shows Alf. it hasnt aged well IMO. A bit funny, but not nearly as good as you remember it to be.

Rosanne though, now there's a show that still stands up today. One of the best IMO

"I don't eat salad, it's food that food eats!"

I'd love to see some of these again!

    ALF was CRAP!

Canned laughter with predictable, bland lines.

ALF originally stood for Alien Life Form, growing up
in the neighbouring estate there was a Kid that got the nick-name ALF. He was about Alfs height at the time but
me thinks the A.L.F. was short for A Little Fat.
