Hi folk. I have a quick question regarding baggage allowance. I have just booked a few days in las vegas. I selected 1 bag per customer. an additional bag costs €40. My question is when I go to vegas I plan on doing a lot of shopping. Can i purchase an extra case over there and pay the extra €40 when im checking back in or can I only bring back the original bag that I went with in the first place.

and also do you think i would be subjected to duty for bringing the 2nd bag. I know to take the lables off all the clothes but can they still do me for them?

sorry if this has been posted in the wrong place, mods please feel free to move, to everyone else, thanks in advance for your replies.

it will all depend on your airline but I haven't come across one yet where you couldn't book an extra bag in for one of the flights. As to second question, of course you could be caught for customs duty on the second bag with new purchases. Customs officers aren't stupid - its very easy to tell if clothes are new or not. If you are stopped in customs, and have items without labels on the new purchases then custom officers can just put their own figure on the cost of the new purchases which might obviously be a higher price than what you did actually pay. Also remember, that alot of the labels might not be available over here so it would be very easy to tell what was newly bought. I don't know how many people do get stopped in customs but there is always the chance.
