I have a pair of bootcut Pepe jeans that I love and have worn to death. They are literally falling apart. I think you'll have to prepare yourself for alot of trying on though. I've tried other styles of Pepe jeans since then and none fitted me as well :(

Maybe try Topshop and Miss Selfridge, tho I guess it depends on what style you are after?

Any time anyone looks for jeans I always point them to New Look... They have piles of different styles so most women can find something to flatter their shape...

A-wear could also be a good place to look - they had loads of different styles the last time I was there.

I tried jeans in Vero Moda, but couldn't find a pair that didn't make me look like thunder thighs (and at that stage I was a size 8, so definitely did not have thunder thighs!)

Miss Selfridge had decent jeans a few years ago, so I must go back there and have a look. Otherwise, it's just the same old shops again - Topshop, River Island, A-Wear, BTs (when the sales are on).

I'm about to start on the jeans hunt again (the last pair I had are so worn out that there's now a hole starting to form!) and really not looking forward to it. Why is it so hard to find a decent pair of jeans?! So frustrating!

  • I have the same issue. I'm still wearing jeans from 8 years ago because I can't find anything that fits me properly and that isn't skinny or really bootcut. I always found Miss Sixty jeans flattering but I haven't even set foot in one of their stores in years, can't afford it these days! I sometimes find random cheap pairs of flattering jeans in places like New Look but it's really hit and miss.

I find a-wear great. I'm short and curvy and usually find it hard to find jeans that suit my shape. a-wear are great, cheap and cheerful and fit well.

Id go for topshop ones. they have some really nice ultimate skinny ones, theyre called Jamies, in some amazing colours, I recently got a red pair. they also have straight legs called Marthas and theyre nice too. the Baxter jeans might be most suitable for you though? they are skinny, but not really tight on, they are when you try them on in the shop, but after a few wears they get a little looser on the legs and a bit on the waist

I think you should have a look around, Vero moda, Topshop and miss selfridges. Finding the perfect fit jeans is always trial and error, It's worth the time to find a great pair.

You could also try some smaller stores, there are alot of sales still on.

I got a cool pair of flared Monkee Genes (the second style down on this page) a few weeks ago in Origin in Galway. Not a shop I usually go into as it can be expensive, but they had a rail of jeans reduced to €40.

But I agree with the perfect fit being trial and error. It's worth putting the time in to get a great pair!

I personally don't like chain store jeans, always baggy in the behind. I like GAS, but I don't know if you can get them anywhere except Clerys if even there. I have a pair approaching last legs, not sure what I'll do when they go.

Actually the Gap style called Long & Lean gets a lot of praise, might be worth having a look there.

+1 for the Long and Lean. They're great.

Check out the Levi's, Seven for All Mankind and Pepe stores at the Kildare Village Outlet.

Also, Tommy Hilfiger do great jeans.

For booty in work I recommend the Salsas although very small fitting, they have designed the sides of the jeans to give shape and lift to your bum.

My absolute favourite and for people wanting that slim look effect on their thighs, the Kelly bootcut from Citizens of Humanity are amazing. I've yet to have an unsatisfied customer with them.

Pepes are good, the "Chancery" fit ones we have fly out the door great fit to them. Your standard jeans. Nice wash to them.

Make sure you you wear a t-shirt or tank when trying on jeans though, can't really get the same effect if you've a dress and its just your bra (my stupid tip lol ).
