The handle on top, that big bulky bit. Can that be removed? so that i can attach a scope it, not on top of the handle thing... not making much sense but please anyone know

i used a g36c top rail and cut it to fit...then epoxy glued and screwed it to the famas body.literally a lot of trial and error but i finally got it to fit !!

Hahaha!!! Excellent! Yeah, i know the unemployed boredom bug. Its quite a pain. I originally wanted my dream gun, the WA2000 but its not gonna happen. But the more i picture the famas without the handle, i just started picturing it as a futuristic wa2k lol

Also, which site did you buy the SV one? Looking for the best place to get it

i got mine from AirsoftEire.com over a year ago. there's a thread over on Arnie's airsoft about modding the fa-mas.. http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=17348&hl=famas&st=0 but you'll have to register to see the page !!
