    Hi ,just tried to load up my pc with vista premium and it freezes just after all the startup programs load up.

    Egg timer comes on and clicking does nothing ,CTRL ALT DELETE and after a while the screen goes black and then another while a white box comes up about user security?

    I have to hold the power key down to power down.

    NB. There was a power cut here last week

    This is doing my nut in ,managed to get system restore to a couple of weeks back by pressing F8 during boot.

    Windows seem to load fine ,but when I check the notice icon loads of devices are listed as incompatible with drivers. Then the machine freezes again.

    I can't get anything done with the machine because if freezes about 30 seconds after startup.

    Would this be a virus or hardware ?
