Does anyone have any links to the pictures/posters up in the gym which show pictures of each excercise and also the name?

also just wondering....i work out twice a week...back, shoulders and abs one day and chest and arms the next day, is it good practice to incorporate different excercises in the workout each week rather than doing the same excercises each week..

Depends on your goals, but probably not.

What is good practice though is to work your hips and legs.

I do 30 min running/cycle/ cross trainer to cover this area...

What makes you think your covering that area. Your doing no strength work for your lower body. You don't think that's a problem.

What exactly is wrong with strength work for the lower body??? It's not that hard like, and it's far more satisfying that any upper body work.

Put up your whole routine actually. And your goals, you'll get a better response and probably a better routine.

    hi
    just a quick question
i was looking at the Vastus Medialis Weakness page on the first linked site.

    it says:

Single Leg Extensions (last 20 degrees of extension)

    as a good corrective exercise.

by last 20 degrees of extension is this the last 20 degrees before your leg is straight? so you only bend your leg a little and then straighten it again

    1. Sit on the seat of a leg extension machine with the foot pad firmly
placed on the inner part of your ankle. Make sure your knee is
flexed at a 90 degree angle. If your leg is forced too far beyond this,
knee damage can result early in the movement.

    2. Extend and straighten your lower leg.

    3. This is the only leg exercise that you can lock your knees out
without risking damage. After reaching the end of the motion,
pause a moment and slowly return the weight to a point near the
    starting position.

    4. Pointing your toes toward each other at a 20 degree angle works
the inner Quad area while pointing your toes outward works the
    outer Quad area.
