We all know how CDWOW's sales normally are.. but to be honest, this isn't too bad!


Sale of The Century

You can either mix-and-match 3 CD's / DVD's from their range for €6 or 5 CD's / DVD's from their range for €12. The latter has a lot of new titles.. from what I saw on the DVD list - Land of The Lost and Year One to name just two (I didn't say they were good! )

Just be sure to look at the region before you buy!

They've other offers on that page too - up to 50% CD's / Movies / Games etc.

I picked up The Majestic, Blade 2 (2-Disc) and Tommy Boy on DVD for €6 - not too shabby!

This is shockingly cheap - ok there is alot of crap to get past but there are definatly great bargains to be had. I got 'High Noon', 'Hud' and The Majestic for €6 - but I am struggling with to pick 5 items for thre €12 deal - I have MJ's This Is It album, Jeff Buckley Grace but cant find 3 more of interest/that I don't already own. Shame this wasnt on for Xmas last year - as there are quite a few CD's I had to pay €15 each for for presents for people including Susan Boyles and JLS albums - they work out a little over €2 here.:(

One thing that annoys me if the amount of the same CDs and DVDs that appear half a dozen times on several different pages.:rolleyes: It is a very impressive sale though - loads of very cheap stuff I already own such as the Frasier seasons for only €7 each. These big sales are rare with CDWOW these days - but when they do them there is no question they are way cheaper than any other sites. Just a shame the amount of crap that tends to be included - there is a film called 'Licence To Kill' (no not the Bond film) with Denzel Washington - one of his first I think which is always in these sales but I have never see it anywhere else. There isnt even a message board on IMDB for it.

More titles added this morning.. but they're selling out quite quickly as they go up (e.g The Darjeeling Limited, 88 Minutes, Withnail & I etc).

I got the following though:



So I got 8 DVD's in total (Tommy Boy, Blade 2, The Majestic, He Was A Quiet Man, Eastern Promises, Hard Candy, Rescue Dawn and Mystic River) for €18. Not too shabby!

Loads of cheap films as well for €3 and less including A Few Good Men: Collectors Edition - €3.15. Loads of series of Friends going for only €6. And new special deals are now 4 CD/DVDs for €6 mainly bargain bin crap but quite a few newer releases (inlcuding Susan Boyle and Leona Lewis) that will come in use for gifts - at only €1.50 each you can't go wrong consideirng they would both be prob 10 times the price in HMV

CDWow is winding down. Surrealus has bought its parent company Stomp.
There is no Vinyl or SACDs in stock and there is a tiny fraction of regular cds left.
I wouldn't put my credit card up there any more.

it will be sad to see them go, picking up lots of cds and dvds in this sale, and they are all arriving within 7 days of ordering, still some good stuff there if you put in the time...
