They should be easier to get than usual. Recession etc. You should get them in your club without much bother.

If you cant get them through your club dont panic. Loads will appear in the last 2-3 days before the final. What happens every year is

    - People start panicing once their team wins the semi final. They arent sure they will get one from their club or elsewhere so start asking around - both inside the county and outside
    - People who have been asked to get tickets for others do their best and sometimes come up trumps
    - Because people who have asked around a lot of places sometimes end up getting tickets from multiple sources they end up with spares
    - Most of the tickets arent actually given out till the week before and then there's a rush to offload spares.

It will be possible to get tickets on the day from genuine fans (not touts) and also in the run up to the final. Keep asking around and letting people know you are after tickets.

Be an member of a GAA club. One great thing about the GAA when demand is high they look after their own. I dont think to many counties will be sending back their allocations for this game.

So unless you are a member of a club I think you will have to talk to Johnny Scalper on the day;)

well i was there for the minor match yesterday for Clare, but trying to get tickets off my club for the Final will be tough especially thats it a town club. But i know someone who has a season ticket for Croker but would they be able to get a ticket for the Hill if its availible or will they be just given any auld spares if they ask?

I was at the semi yesterday too but doubt I'l get tickets at my own club we're technically in County Limerick so they won't get many. Would be so grateful if you could ask the season ticket holder if they had any spares!

You will get them around the pubs on the day, ie quinns, Meaghers, fagans etc last year they were selling for less than face value.

For the last 3 finals I've bought tickets outside the ground on the day, for face value. That said, I went on my own each time (I live near Croker). If the four of ye want to sit together, I don't think ye would swing that one so easily.

I was at the Tipp-Kilkenny final last year and there was loads on sale on the day although the demand might be higher as Kilkenny go for 5 in a row.

Point taken on 5 in a row, that might draw in a few neutrals.

But the big swing factor for me in the Hurling final is whether Cork is playing.....not that their fans are better (not that they are worse either) but that the population of Cork is 480'000 compared to 150'000 in Tipp and 85'000 in Kilkenny. I would guess you'd get the same amount of fans as last year from KK and Tipp, though maybe a few more neutrals will want to go.

Tickets are only going to kilkenny and tipp county boards for the clubs and presumably clare as they are in the minors. The other counties wont much if any allocation ie Waterford only getting 2 tickets for each senior player

Is it true a lot of tickets end up going to corporate and Americans?

Or here. He is trying to claim Nally are 45 face value....lies! They are everywhere.

you'll have no problem getting them on the day. i do every year. just hang around the boozers outside the stadium asking the kilkenny lads for a ticket.

In general, the corporate tickets are in either the premium or suite levels and are block bought for a number of years. GAA clubs outside Ireland do get an allocation aswell afaik.
