    Hi,

Can anyone help with this, a few days i was recharging my ipod shuffle through the usb on my pc & later when i took it out i noticed a dialog coming up, but had not noticed it much, but what i do remember was "audio may not work properly... "

Today the volume would not work i went to Control Panel -> Sounds, Speech... everything was greyed out?

I checked out the other tabs & the same, hardware & all the devices seem to work properly?

I wasnt too sure if it was the pc or speakers so I took it out & tried it out on the telly & it seems to work ok?

The speakers are 2 small hooked upto a subwoofer, i checked out the cables to see if they were loose, they werent?

I am at a loss to know what happened?

Can anyone shed any light on this please.

Thanks for any help received for this troublesome matter :(

It probably changed the default settings in the sound\audio properties.

Just go to the sound\audio section of control panel & choose your sound card as the default.

I saw that it wasnt enabled & couldnt r/click it to enable it? & while it was getting late & windows updates were downloading i turned off the pc & come back to it again, maybe by restarting it helped it?

Went there also, Intel Integrated Device was the only sound card default there? so by restarting could have helped as i said above?

But thanks for the helpful replies.
