    Tanx,I can understand how 3v could be used to buy, but how can it be used to sell?

    when you are selling on ebay you have to offer paypal as payment.
    So you will have to open a paypal account.
    You will need a visa number for this which getting a 3v card will do.

    Debit card will also suffice, Ulster Bank have a VISA one

    Thanks. Does anyone know how I would set up a Paypal acount then? About six months ago I did enquire with AIB but they hadn't a clue sadly:rolleyes:

    It;s got nothing to do with the bank, so how would they help you? You just sign up with Paypal.
