It depends on what kind of foundation you want. Light, full coverage, etc...

    Coped from another thread lol:o
I like the 'Clinique Anti Blemish' and 'Clinique Superfit' foundations.

They are pricey though, €28 euros for a 30ml bottle. Then again, it depends on how long the bottle will last, esp with everyday use.

Currently I use the 'Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish' foundation compact and while it is good, personally, I find it heavy so going to change.

Estee Lauder Double Wear is good too, but it just doesn't suit my skin, it brought me out in spots/blemishes.

Clarins Truly Matte is also good, but again, it just doesn't suit my skin. It brought me out in spots/blemishes.

Maybelline New York Dream Matte Mouse is also good, but personally, I find it a bit heavy.

As pointed out by another poster, it depends on what type of skin you have. I have oily/combination skin, so not all products suit my skin type. What works for me, may not work for you. The only way to find out, it to go to a proper skincare/make-up counter have a skin-consultation and find out what your skin-type is (if you don't already know that is lol) and then look at some foundations which suit your skin type. Ask for samples of foundations and only that way will you find out what you like and what works with your skin.

Maybe these threads can be of some help.:)

If you do a search I am sure you will find more threads about foundation/concealer.

    HTH.

Maybelline dream matte mousse concealer if you need something that has really good coverage!! I love it so much, never goes shine like some heavy concealers.

I'd like to change foundation though, might try Revlon colorstay, it's really popular if you want full long lasting coverage.

It really depends on your skin type and how much coverage you need. If you have dry skin then I would go for liquid foundations.

Best brands for me anyway are MAC, Bobbi Brown and Estee Lauder. Although the best one from the cheaper lot has to be Max Factor pansticks. I've been using them for years now and the act as a concealer and a foundation for me.

    dior nude or capture totale!

Nude has something in it that improoves the condition of your skin. My skin is definitely more radiant since i started using it.

Capture totale is a half serum half foundation so its really good for your skin, i would say its more skincare then make up but has good coverage and is very easy to apply. Its expensive though so i use it for more special occassions only.

I'm liking the Revlon Photo Ready foundation at the moment. It's full coverage though. I find the reviews on youtube to be very helpful when picking a new foundation. :D

I use this foundation too, it's good but doesn't have full day coverage which is a bit of a pain. I used to use MAC for foundation and it was good but I just found it a bit too heavy.

It's impossible to recommend a foundation for someone without knowing their skin type or coverage preference. A couple of people here have recommended Mayballine Mousse, I can't use any mousse type product as it just sinks into my pores. So what's good for one person could be terrible for another.

I love Clinique Superfit for during the day. It's a great colour for me and gives nice coverage without being heavy. I wear Diorskin Forever for going out, it's slightly heavier coverage and is very long lasting. For concealer I love Benefit Boi-ing (spell!) or Clinique City Skin.

Why don't you book an appointment at a beauty counter and get them to recommend a foundation for you. I have used a few different Clinique and Dior ones and found them all good. So maybe one of those would be a good start for you. Try and go at a quiet time so they can spend a bit of time with you and don't feel obliged to buy anything, feel free to try a few different brands til you find one you're happy with. Foundation is so expensive now, there's no harm in getting a few testers.

Recently started using bare minerals make up-available in brown thomas starter kit for €30.Its excellent and i love the feeling that you are not actually wearing any make up with it.Also gets rid of the problems of tell tale neck lines.Allows you build up the coverage in layers so you get exactly what you want and it has spf in it

Like a few other posters have mentioned above, I really like Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse - good coverage and great colour for my skin tone. Unfortunately it tends to dry out my skin if I wear it every day, so I currently use L'Oreal.

Up until last week I used the the true match foundation an found it really good, but unfortunately I couldn't find the colour I needed in that range, so I've just started using the L'Oreal 'Infallible' range. I haven't worn it enough to be able to comment on whether or not it really does last 16 hours, but it seems ok. However, thus far I would prefer the 'true match' range.

Due to my skin tone, I tend to go by the colour of the foundation rather than the brand as I find it really difficult to find a shade that doesn't make me look like an oompa-loompa or a ghost. I thought I was sorted with Maybelline, but it just doesn't suit my skin at all. L'Oreal seems to suit my skin type and tone, so happy days for now!
