Rented Property Problem

    Had a one year lease in college.
    The property management crowd were pants. They didn't want to do anything that we needed, and anything that we got them to do it was a siege to do so.

    So anyway, we finished the lease. We cleaned it top to bottom, and left it as clean as a whistle.

    Anyway we get word that we're being served a bill, for cleaning and "repairs". However, after a week, they have yet to give us an invoice. How can they have a number given to us, but they can't give us an invoice. We maintain that it was left in pristine condition.

    Where do we stand and what can we do?

    Did you take pictures showing the condition of the place as you left? How long has it been since you moved out?

    Send them a registered letter asking for the deposit to be returned in full and see what their response is.

    You could also try contact the PTRB and Threshold.
