I highly recommend NOT ringing your local Garda station to ask if they recently arrested you for drink driving. You wouldn't have woken up in your own house if they had done.

I recently drove home after a few drinks this is stupid i know and its been playing havoc with my mind. When i got up the next morning the car was parked in the street. As far as i know i was not arrested, i have been told if i was arrested that the car would have been taken off me. Has anyone ever rang the local garda station to enquire about this. Once again i know this was a very stupid thing to do but if anyone could give me their view on this. it happned about 9 weeks ago and i have heard nothing, i also read that you get a charge sheet and a copy of the blood or urine sample posted out does anyone know how long this takes ?

this is ridiculous that you don't even remember if you were taken to the garda station. Anyway, you would be breathalised at the station and given a copy of the reading and court date.

Right, i won't give you my personal feelings about you (mainly because I don't want to feed the troll)

Officially, (if this did happen) If you provided a breath sample and failed, you'd be held in custody until you were sober enough to be charged.
If you gave blood/urine, you'd be held in custody until you were deemed sober enough to look after yourself and not be a danger to others.

EDIT: I see that you've had 2 threads about this locked already, one in motors and one in ES.
