What films would you love to see in the cinema again?

I was watching The Lion King with my nephew this morning and I just kept thinking wow I'd love if they re-released this movie so I could go see it in the cinema again. I saw it when I was a kid there, but I'd love to see it on the big screen again.

So then I was thinking, apart from The Lion King, what other movies would I love to see on the big screen again....

    1. The Matrix & The Matrix Reloaded
    2. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (back to back :p)
    3. Kill Bill 1 & 2
    4. Ghost :o
    5. The Goonies
    6. Scream 1 & 2
    7. The Terminator
    8 Dirty Dancing :o

If you could see a few movies in the cinema again, which would you pick?

Why would you choose these films in particular?

    Good Question

For LOTR I'd just love to see the experience them on the big screen. I never actaully saw them in the cinema and only got to experience how excellent they were when I saw them on DVD. Same for Scream actually, I love that movie and have watch it at least 100 times on DVD, but was way too young to see it when it was released.

The Lion King....the last 20 minutes of that movie I think would be epic to see again in the cinema. It has be remastered since it's original release so I think the audio and visual exp in a cinema today would be excellent.

Some others just contain scenes that I think would be much more enjoyable on the big screen with better quality sound that goes with it...for example the reception scene in the Matrix, and the freeway scene in Matrix Reloaded. Same applies to the fight scenes in Kill Bill 1 & 2.

I would choose some of the above also, but the one that springs to mind that I always regreted not seeing in the cinema at the time was Braveheart.

Was such a perfect movie for the big screen back then. It might be a little dated now and might not seem as good on the big screen but id still like to find out.

Im sure there are others I just cant think of right now.

    Edit:

    OH OH

Kung Fu Hustle. Purely to have experienced all the laughs in this movie with a large audience. The action wasnt bad either.

jaws, the movie that brought cinema back from a dark age when it was no longer as popular as it once was.

Saving private ryan, missed it when it came out.

Alien. Never watched it on a small screen even. To get through it i would have to be nowhere near an off switch. Bwak bwak

Slightly off topic, but i would also love to see some of the bbc nature documentaries on the big screen. Imagine the spectacular aerial views used in planet earth up there. It would be a treat

Probably Bladerunner as I missed it the last time. But I would really love to see a rerelease of The Iron Giant. A big anniversary release or something. Hopefully open it up to a whole new audience

Last Year There was a season of classic films that was re-released around the country. I cant remember every film but i went to see Spartacus and also Scarface (the 1983 version).

There is a chance they might be doing it again in the future.

The Screen Cinema in D'Olier St has just finished a run of 80's movies, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. I think they also showed Dirty Dancing and Breakfast at Tiffany's recently too.

Not sure if they have anything else in the pipeline but worth keeping an eye on.

Personally, I would also love to see LOTRs as I never got the chance to see them when they were released first - a full day with all three back to back - love it!

I'd always wanted to see A Clockwork Orange on the big screen and I managed to get to see it in the BFI here in London a couple of weeks back :D
I'd love to see 2001: A Space Odyssey as well. The stargate sequence would be mindblowing!
