Road: N11 to Enniskerry

Noticed today that this road is now 50 kph instead of 80. When did that happen?

No idea, but the background to it was always that it was felt that 80 kmh speed limit was exessive for when the weather is bad (rain, ice etc..) as you may or may not know that road up till recently (when it was realligned / widened in parts) was a blackspot.

Tried searching Wicklow Coco website but didnt find anything, same on NRA, bray UDC or the village website.

Indeed, travel it every so often, was "fun" when wet. HAve seen a couple of cars in the wall at various point along it over the years too. Pity, its a great drivers road

Think the locals call it "the 21 bends" I use it quite a bit and have to agree with cryos that 80 was a bit much, several times I have seen cars getting caught out going a little fast.
Normally I bitch about most of the speed limits etc, but this is a tricky road. Few years a lady and young child died when their 4x4 ran off the road into the river, there have been a few other accidents over the years.

There are some spots on that road that are very sheltered and can cause very localized spots of ice. In fact, when we had our mini ice-age back at the beginning of the year, there were small patches of snow and ice that stayed there many weeks after it had disappeared from practically all of the other roads in the area.
