Watched this Australian film on DVD last night and it was a pleasant surprise. A very good low budget thriller along the lines of Fargo or Blood Simple. Watched this Australian film on DVD last night and it was a pleasant surprise.
A very good low budget thriller along the lines of Fargo or Blood Simple.
The plot revolves around a middle aged man, Ray, who makes a fatal mistake when he gets involved with younger woman, Carla. His attempts to make it right just land him deeper and deeper into the kind of trouble he'll never be able to resolve. This searing examination of middle-aged angst and displaced desire keeps the surprises coming and the twists turning.
Anybody else see it ?

Yup, great movie, very well acted.
Check out 'The Horseman', made by some of the same team.
Its not the simularly titled 'Horsemen' (ok sevenish rip-off) starring Dennis Quaid.
