"Who said that Friday the 13th is unlucky when you get get a bargain like this! Stay with us for one night on a room only basis for just €25pps. This offer is for the 13th of August and is based on two people sharing! Limited availability so book today!!!"

Seems a bizarre offer at short notice (unless I am late noticing it) but if you can get there tonight why not - for today only (from the terms it appears the stay has to be today also?!) one room for 25pp, has to be two people, so essentially 50€ for the night.

edit: Sunday night by comparison is only €59 (Saturday is booked out), Monday €79, following Friday is €69 - still a deal?

Cashflow problem judging by those prices. Take advantage!

Hey, I'm actually one of the managers in Castleknock Hotel. It's nothing to do with cashflow. It's just a case that the hotel had a large VIP group in over that weekend starting Saturday through to Wednesday. It was Australian X Factor with Ronan Keating and the boys. It left our Friday night quiet enough so we did this promotion for €50.

myself and my wife visited the hotel for a night a 3 or 4 years back and wouldnt be keen on visiting again due to noise created from a function on in the hotel the night we stayed, and fire alarms being set off twice during the night by guests attending the function.

i know this was prob a once off but it spoiled our stay.

there were also problems with breakfast order when ordered as room service the next morning.

    just posting my experience.

Maybe you've been lucky and managed to get a job there after your stay;)???

    this was your first post:
Myself and my wife were looking to do something romantic but we also like to have a bit of craic with a few other couples. So we decided to put the 2 together. We found out that the Castleknock Hotel in Dublin are having a Valentines Ball on the Saturday. They have a meal and a band and late bar, so there are 10 of us staying over. Hopefully it'll be a good laugh. We were then thinking of having dinner the next night in their restaurant on our own. At least that way we can get the best of both worlds. So hard thinking of something different after 9 years of marriage. I'm tired of buying the same old things every year.

Hands up CH30H, that was underhanded! It was something myself and the mrs did though, not as a present to her though. That would be a bit stingy what with me working there and all. Have done it once since playing golf with the lads and staying over.

Ah nothing wrong with a sly, shameless plug now and then! :P

Stayed here in Feb and it was €50 per room incl breakfast. No complaints about the place.

Did you get to see any of the filming over the weekend. Come on spill the beans what group of finalists has Ronan got - the groups, girls, boys or the over 25s:D
