Am I doing the right stuff to lose weight?

When i finished college my weight was 16.6 stone/pounds, through really bad habits and way too many take-outs :(. So across the last year by changing habits and going to the gym cutting out alcohol by this June I was 14.4 and still annoyed at how overweight...no... obese I am .

Im 23 and 5'7'', so since getting a new job and moving-the gym membership has ceased, so I have been taking more steps with my diet.

Breakfast: weetabix which I changed to oats with low fat milk
snacking on small handful of nuts in inbetween
Lunch: having eggs or other protein or salad/vegtable
snack of no sugar jelly with cheese or a banana/plum
Dinner: lean meat with loads of veg
when I need something to fill a sweet craving i have a little dark chocolate

I've cut out carbohydrates pretty much no bread, no pasta, no nothing really. I eat lots of protein and veg and I drink 2+ litres water a day. I try to keep under 1500 kcals for the day never lower than 1200. Also I play badminton once or twice a week and jog 3 times a week for 30-45 mins interval training with walking.

And, while i've felt great doing this i'm getting disillusioned, since June I have lost weight steadily at maybe 2 pounds a week. I reached 13.6 about the third week of july and cant seem to get weight off now stuck at this weight for the last while what am I doing wrong?
So can anyone help me with getting off the plateau and continuing with my weight loss. I'm serious about losing weight the right way, but having dieted the wrong way before the slow rate and the stop have really knocked me but I really want to get to my healthy range at 11 stone

Im was in the exact same position as you. was between 16/17 stone leaving college and same height as you aswell.

The best thing I could recommend is to take up doing some sort of weight training as well as HIIT training also. These can both be down without any equipment if you cant afford any. Look through the threads here, there are loadsa threads about bodyweight exercises and as for the interval training, go to a local football pitch, jog a length, sprint across the end, keep doing this for 15/20 minutes and you'll be wrecked but a great way of kicking the fat loss.

unfortunately the slow down in the rate of fat loss is common the closer you get to your goal, I found keeping a food diary and monitoring what I ate really helped me a lot also.

don't be so hard on yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back for having lost 3 stone in the last year.
Try and mix up the diet a bit and as above poster try a bit of HIIT.

Nuts are very high calorie, and while they are pretty clean, they don't really need to be in a weight loss diet. Weight the amount you eat and you might be shocked at the calories, maybe you don't have the deficit you think you have.
